Skorstenen putsad

Vi fick också ihop skorstenen förra veckan, och putsade dessutom utsidan!  Det är en isokern skorsten som är gjord av pimpsten. Den blir inte varm på utsidan så man behöver inte ha avstånd mellan skorsten, innerväggar och bjälklag. Dessutom håller den mycket längre än en plåtskorsten.

We also put together the chimney last week, and covered it with stucco! It is a Schiedel chimney made of pumice.  It is so well insulated that the outside of the chimney remains cool and you do not need to have a distance between the chimney and interior walls or beams.  It lasts much longer than a chimney made of steel.
