Halogenfri eldragning

Elektrikern har börjat dra elkablar nu! Oj vad många rör det blir...

The electrician has started to draw electrical cables now!  Wow, lots of cables...

Vi använder halogenfria kablar. Halogener är grundämnena fluor, klor, jod, brom och astat. Halogenfria elkablar betyder att de är fria från PVC-plast. Har man PVC plast i elkablarna kan det bli mycket giftig rök om det börjar brinna eftersom klor som finns i plasten kan frigöras och bilda saltsyra.


We are using halogen-free cable. Halogens are fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine.  Halogen-free cable bacically means that it is free from PVC plastic. If you have PVC plastic in the cables the smoke that develops in case of fire becomes highly toxic since the fluorine in the plastic is released and forms hydrochloric acid.

I garaget ska alla genomföringar av elkablar vara brandklassade eftersom vi har sovloft ovanför. Den röda tuben med den vita massan på bilden nedan är brandskyddet.

In the garage all cables coming through the ceiling need to be fire proofed since we have a sleep loft above. The red tube with the white goo on the picture below is the fire proofing.
