Regnkedjor och fyrkantiga hängrännor

Innan man lägger läkt och takpannor ska krokarna till hängrännorna sättas fast. Vi har valt hängrännor och stuprör i aluzink, precis om fönsterblecken. Istället för halvrunda är de fyrkantiga. Formen är snygg och de håller mer vattenvolym.  Under hängrännan sätter vi en extra plåt för att förhindra snö att leta sig upp i luftspalten.

Before you put up battens, counter-battens and roof tiles you have to install the hooks for the gutters. We have chosen gutters and downspouts in aluzink, like the exterior window sills. Instead of the rounded gutters, typical in Sweden, we are using a rectangular model. The shape looks nice and they hold more water. Underneath the gutters we have an extra sheet of metal to prevent snow from entering the ventilation space under the wood boards.

Istället för stuprör har vi beställt regnkedjor.  Ett vackrare alternativ än stuprör men kanske inte lika skyddande mot fasaden. Vi ska prova med dessa regnkedjor på 3 ställen.

Instead of downspouts we have ordered rain chains. More beautiful than gutters but maybe not as protective for the facade. We will try with these rain chains in 3 places.
